Direct Bonded Materials

Products based upon Magnesite –Chrome, pre-sintered Magnesite-Chrome  clinker and Magnesite-Spinel clinker, fired to temperatures in excess  of 1700 oC. Firing to such a high temperature in conjunction with raw materials selection results in the formation of a direct bond between the individual refractory grains and only a minimal quantity of a highly  refractory calcium silicate between the grains.

 

The combination of raw material selection  and firing treatment then provide materials with exceptionally high resistance to a whole variety of slags at elevated temperatures
